New Memberships

Samford Golden Valley Pony Club welcomes members of all ages and experience levels. Membership to our Pony Club runs from January 1 to December 31 each year.  To join you will need to create a profile on the Pony Club Australia system JustGo and request to join our club, or request a transfer from an existing club if you are already a Pony Club Australia member.  You will only be able to purchase membership once your request to join the club is approved by the committee.

 

Memberships Fees

 

Pony Club membership for 2025 Fees is $240 for riding members and $65 for social (non riding) members.  This fee consists of compulsory membership to Pony Club Australia, Pony Club Queensland, insurance as well as membership to Samford Golden Valley.  At least one parent or guardian is required to be a social or riding member of our Club for all riders aged 17 and under. Parent/guardian memberships must be added at the same time as registering your child through JustGo.

Contribution Levy Requirements

All members must contribute to the Club via payment of a Contribution Levy which is in addition to membership fees. The current year the Contribution Levy is $250 a year per family. The $250 a year will be credited or returnable to the member for the following year, provided 10 hours of contribution is carried out.

Contribution hours can be done by any member of the membership family and can include the following:

  • Working at working bees (except for set ups for Samford Golden Valley Pony Club events which is compulsory for competitors);

  • Extra unscheduled working hours such as mowing the grounds, weeding, cleaning toilets and facilities if prearranged with a committee member;

  • Attending committee meetings or working group meetings; 

  • Act as 'First Aid Officer' at musters (must be qualified); or

  • Coaching / Instructing at pony club musters (must be registered coach or be in training and with a registered coach present).
